Neuroscience says we have between fifty thousand to seventy thousand thoughts per day……What you are thinking of…thats a lots of thought ….!

Basically, i was”overthinkolic” too…….
I was like,
Tomorrow is my exam…..”Ohh my God”….What i will do tomorrow …..?
If i fail, what my friends will think about me ?…..My reputation among my friends will get spoil…..It will effect my career…….Would i get job or not ?….blah…blah …..blah
This chattering of mind is the cause of my late night sleep….(ahh i hate that)
So i started to search about overthinking, talked with many people about it…….
I came across few points which i am mentioning below…..if you are in “overthinkholic gang ” i hope it will help you guys too..

Our identity is what creates overthinking ….
Go back to your old photo album when you were really young and see what you were doing, than tap into that mindset you were in, if you can do that you will notice that you werent thinking much……you must be just smiling or playing around in that photo…!
The younger we are, we tend to think lot less…..As we begin to create identity “Am from this country”……..”Am from this race”……
We have lots to defend…..and we are like .I am this person you better put some respect on my name…….this creates the overthinking…..Perhaps…..One of the major cause of overthinking…..!
The secret to stop overthinking is:-
Letting go of…. “Who you think you are”……

Overthinking kills our productivity…it also prevent our creative growth….

Are you carrying unnecessary baggage in your mind….
There were two “zen monk” who were not suppose to look at women. I dont know why ?
Once they were going somewhere and in the path they passed a beautiful women. When they reach their destination place,first monk completely forgot about that women.But what about second monk.
He was unable to forget that women.He just kept thinking about that women.
First monk was like, “I left her there and you are still carrying her in her mind”
In a nutshell,
Stop carrying unnecessary thoughts in your mind

Check the people around you too….
Surround yourself with people who tend to think lot less….i mean dont be around people who are nervous all the time…..Because by observing them we also start to become nervous and causes overthinking problem…..its becsuse you are surrounding yourself with people who have lots of anxiety about the future….
So, surround yourself with people who live in present moment and dont think much about future in a wrong way…

Occupy the present…..
Sometimes we are so big for our boots..
We think we know it all…and thats why we are overthinking….”Analysis is paralysis”…..
We are constantly analysing our future and past…..which takes us away from here and now moment….and cause us to overthing….”Stop thinking because it wont change anything only action will do”……
Occupying the present means realizing that everything is happening in the divine order…..there are no accidents or co-incidence in the universe…Its about realizing that, you have everything you need…..
In this society there is big illusion that we have to get something to become something……
Observe children,they have everything that they need unless we tell them if you dont get “A” no more cookies for you…Thus from childhood only we are programming anxiety in their mind which eventually grows larger and larger…..Start to realize that you have everything you need,this mindset will help you to move in present moment and eventually will reduce your overthinking….!

Fast is slow……slow is fast
How many times this has happens to you that , you are rushing so much that you lose your keys and now you have to overthink a lot that, where do i put them….You check it at most random places….. tadaa….Now you are late for your work……Your fast now became something that slows you do…..if you took your time in the beginning to slow down it would have speeded you up in the long term……

Realiaze that you dont control anything…..
We dont control anything in this world…..yeah we dont control anything except our perspective…..
This is from where all our stress comes from …….we try to control things to maintain our identity…..As i mentioned in my first point……its door to invite the overthinking…….
Start to realize that we dont control anything…..we even dont know with whom we gonna have children with..hehe
Accept things which you cannot control in the name of divine order…..

Set time to overthink….
One hour overthink….you will realize that it aint doing something and than you will stop doing that…..
